Assassins Creed Chronicles Returns With India And Russia In Early 2016

Assassin’s Creed Chronicles, the 2.5D spin-off of Ubisoft’s time hopping series, is back next year with parts two and three of the trilogy. For a moment there it looked as if Ubisoft had forgotten the side-scroller entirely, following the launch ofAssassin’s Creed Chronicles: China back in April. Ubisoft had originally said it wanted the entire trilogy to conclude this Autumn.
It’s a tad frustrating that the spin-off series is visiting all the main locations we want the franchise to go, but we’ll be heading to India on January 12, 2016, before visiting Russia on February 9th. That’s two Assassin’s Creed games in less than a month! Never change, Ubisoft. As with the first game, it’s under development from Climax Studios.
Assassin’s Creed Chronicles: India will be set during the mid-19th century, with the Sikh Empire engaging in a bit of a hoo-hah with the private armies of the British-owned East India Company. As always, expect a Templar conspiracy threatening the world, possibly using a mysterious artifact that grants immortality.
When the series heads to Russia, meanwhile, players will take on the role of one Nikolaï Orelov, who must sneak into a mansion where the Tsar’s family are being held captive by the Bolsheviks and steal an artifact. Presumably the Bolsheviks are Templars. Rinse and repeat, Ubisoft. As with China, both games feature unique art styles representing the location and time period.
I have to admit I forgot AC Chronicles: China even existed, did any GD'ers get round to it? What did you think?
