Halo 5 Guardians: It's time

I admit, I had waited so long that my enthusiasm for anything new in the Halo franchise pipeline had all but waned. Even when the announcements came out for this title and then the promo videos began running, I still found it very hard to get my heart back into the storyline as it once was.

In any case, I managed to make my way to pick up a copy, (my XBOX One is too packed to download anything else) and also the requisition packs purchase. Never mind I almost spent $100 bucks on this one game. The point is, I'm back onboard the Halo wagon and it's time to play. More to come from me on this one I'm sure.

Winter Veil descends upon Hearthstone

As I get older, I find my attempts at Christmas become ever more cursory: I haven't begun shopping for presents; my Christmas tree is more of a Christmas shrub; and I can't even decide what I want from those who deign to ask me. It's all a lot of effort. Apparently Blizzard feels the same way, because the  Winter Veil 'event'  has descended on  Hearthstone  and it's not the company's most lavish Christmas do. The Stormwind and Orgrimmar boards have had a dusting of snow and cheery decorations, and winter will come to the other boards as the event proceeds through to January 6. Heroes, meanwhile, have been given festive greetings, plus we get 10 Classic card packs free... when we buy 40 or more. It's a long way from Scrooge-like, but it lacks the spirit of the holiday bashes Blizzard likes to throw in World of Warcraft. 2022 Commonwealth Games: Birmingham congratulated by vanquished Liverpool

The city was chosen ahead of rival Liverpool by the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport. Kuala Lumpur is likely to be the main rival bid to host the 2022 Games. But the UK government must still decide if a formal bid will be submitted, weighing up whether it would offer "value for money for the taxpayer". Intel 8th Gen Coffee Lake CPUs to Launch in October 2017

Intel’s just hosted a behind-the-scenes Facebook live stream, finding some time for a cheeky tease of the release date for its 8th Gen Intel Core Coffee Lake processors. While Gregory Bryant, senior vice president, was having a chat about Intel 8th Gen CPUs, he placed down a coffee cup with the word ‘October’ emblazoned across. Hinting much? Don’t worry, that’s not all. Another Intel employee in the background is also sipping from a cup of coffee with ‘10.2017’ written on it. Either Intel be trolling, or we’re powering towards a next-gen CPU launch next month. My money’s on the latter. Somewhat confusingly, the 8th Gen of Intel Core processors will consist of a mixture of Kaby Lake, Coffee Lake and Cannonlake.
