Lego Marvel Avengers Trailer Shows It WIll Have An Open World For Every Marvel Movie

Working at Traveller’s Tales must be exhausting, because boy do they crank out the Lego games at quite a rate. Next up on the factory line is Lego Marvel Avengers, based on a big old stack of Marvel movies, including Avengers: Age of Ultron, Iron Man 3, Captain America: Winter Soldier, Captain America: The First Avenger, and Thor: The Dark World. Wow, it seems as if Marvel make movies even quicker than TT makes games.
Whisper it, but the new Lego Marvel Avengers open-world trailer is actually looking pretty damn decent, with some deep cuts for Marvel fans. That is, aside from the brief segment that brought me horrifying flashbacks of unwrapping Superman 64 on my birthday. That put me off birthdays for life. Anyway, in Lego Marvel Avengers there’s going to be a series of huge open-worlds to explore, separate from the levels, including the whole of New York City crammed in, in brick form.

That’s not all either, because there’s also smaller open-world sections, which I’m preeeeetty sure means it’s not open world. But that’s a technicality. This includes the Viking gods’ home of Asgard, Barton Farm, Malibu, S.H.I.E.L.D. Base Exterior, Sokovia, South Africa and Washington D.C. It’s New York where the bulk of the action lies, and if it’s anywhere near as dense as Lego City Undercover’s world then we’re going to be in for a treat.
