Star Wars 1313 May Not Be As Dead As We Thought

The ill-fated Star Wars: 1313 may not be as dead as we’d been led to believe. That’s according to head of Lucasfilm Kathleen Kelly, who has admitted they don’t want to waste all of the work they’ve done on the bounty hunter action game.
"So our attitude is, we don’t want to throw any of that stuff away,” said Kelly. “It’s gold. And it’s something we’re spending a lot of time looking at, pouring through, discussing, and
we may very well develop those things further. We definitely want to."

Kelly was talking about both Star Wars 1313 and the Star Wars: Underworld TV show, both of which were canned following Disney’s acquisition of Lucasfilm in 2012. George Lucas had even planned out 400 episodes for the TV show.
Her comments are pretty ambiguous, but it does suggest that Disney and Lucasfilm are hoping to do something with the game. It was a real shame when it was cancelled because 1313 seemed like the sort of Star Wars game fans were crying out for. I mean, who doesn’t want to be a bounty hunter and track down the galaxy’s most villainous scum?

I don’t want to get my hopes are too much, but it sounds as if there’s life in the project yet. Could it possibly be the secretive Star Wars project Jade Raymond is working on with Visceral Games? Or do you think Star Wars 1313 is still dead and buried?
